Steve Winn

Chairman &

Stephen Winn serves as an Investment Committee member and Chairman of Mirasol Real Estate Partners. Mr. Winn also serves as CEO and Founder of Mirasol Capital, an investment management firm that pursues uncommon opportunities in real estate, technology and entertainment that reimagine how we live, work and play. Additionally, Steve acts as Chairman of Cosm, an entertainment technology company that delivers immersive experiences at scale through a full-service suite of cutting-edge technology and content capabilities. Mr. Winn is the former President, CEO and Chairman of RealPage, Inc., a publicly traded company and leading provider of on-demand software and software enabled services to the rental housing industry, that he founded in 1998. In 2021, he led RealPage into a new stage of innovation and growth through the sale of the company to Thoma Bravo for $10.2 billion. Previously, Mr. Winn served as President and CEO of Computer Language Research Inc., a publicly traded company focused on tax compliance, tax research and accounting software, which was founded by his father, Francis Winn, and later acquired by Thomson Corp.

Mr. Winn is passionate about philanthropy locally and internationally through the efforts of the Winn Family Foundation which focuses on broad support of education, with special emphasis on advancing the future of science technology, environmental and green initiatives, and women’s and girls’ empowerment. Locally, the foundation provided founding grants for the Winn Science Center at St. Mark’s School of Texas, The Winn Software Lab at the University of Texas’ School of Engineering, The Winn Mathematics Center at Christo Rey, and the University of Texas Biodiversity Field Research Center outside of Austin.

Mr. Winn is a Dallas, Texas, native and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He also earned a Master of Management Science from Stanford University. When Mr. Winn isn’t launching his next big idea, he spends time with his wife, Melinda, on their ranch in Central Texas. They have three children and seven grandchildren.

Gerry Hedgcock

CEO & Managing

Gerry Hedgcock serves as CEO, Investment Committee Member, and Managing Principal of Mirasol Real Estate Partners and is responsible for the firm’s management, strategy, and investment decisions targeting enhanced returns through the tech-enablement of multifamily communities. Prior to co-founding Mirasol Real Estate Partners, Gerry spent the prior two decades at Crow Holdings Capital Partners (CHCP) where he served as a senior executive in its investment management platform sourcing $4B in transaction volume and managing the firm’s multifamily portfolio. Mr. Hedgcock also served as an investment committee member of CHC’s Build-to-Hold Fund and established CHC’s separate account investment platform through a strategic partnership with one of Japan’s largest trading companies. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and is an active member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), The Real Estate Council (TREC), the SMU Folsom Institute, Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Michael Maddox


Michael Maddox serves as an Investment Committee Member and Principal of Mirasol Real Estate Partners. Mr. Maddox also serves as Managing Director and Investment Committee Member of Mirasol Capital where he is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring, closing and overseeing all real estate-related investments. Prior to Mirasol, Michael served as a Vice President in the Real Estate Financing Group at Goldman Sachs. He was responsible for the origination, closing and securitization of real estate loans across several asset classes including retail, multifamily, office and hospitality. Michael graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Urban Studies and is an active member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), The Real Estate Council (TREC), the UT Real Estate Center Advisory Council (REFIC), the SMU Folsum Institute, and Urban Land Institute (ULI). He also serves on the Board of Directors at Cosm.
